I know, I have neglected this blog for long and after today I will not be able to post until end of August as I am going to India soon. It is my MIL's first year death anniversary so we have to be there. I hope after I get back I can get to blogging my layouts and other stuff.

Hello everyone and happy iNSD!

How is everyone doing? Going crazy or doing good?? After 3 years of being a designer and racking my brain and losing my sanity, this year I am so free without any tension or stress. I am already loving all the sales and even did attend a Speed scrap this evening. I could never do that before.

Retiring from designing :((

Hello lovely ladies!!

I'm writing this today with a heavy heart, as I have made the difficult decision to retire from digital scrapbook designing. I have been thinking of retiring for a long time, but I just knew now is the time. I just don't find enough time to do all the things I would love to. I will be going back to India for good next year by this time. So, I need to get some things in my real life in order and I don't want any stress. I will miss designing so much because it has been my creative outlet for almost 3 yrs now.

I am only stepping down from designing, I will still continue to scrap and do occasional collabs. ohh btw, until Yvonne or Tam kick me out or I go back to India I will be always here at SDD lol. This is my home!!

My store closes on April 30th midnight!! Until then I have put my entire store {excluding some collabs} on 50% sale.

So if you wanted to grab anything from my store, now’s the time, after 30th, they are gone for good!!

I have been a bad blogger!! I know.. but it has been a very sick time in my household. We are still trying to recover from cold, sore throat and fevers and my son started cold again. I blame it on this stupid raining weather. It wont stop at all. We want to see some nice sun with warmth and be able to go out for a walk or play in the park. ohh well, we can't change the nature at our will can we?? So, I didn't get enough time to design much but I did get a mini kit and its matching alpha done and also a collab {again} with Pixiemama Designs.

Record-Keeping Templates and Edgies Vol.2 !!

How is everyone's week so far??

I have 2 releases today. First one is my brand new photo templates called Record - Keeping Templates. These templates make your life easy !! These are a great time-saving tools for your layouts. Just clip your favorite paper, photo and add text in the fully justified custom text path easily.

Included are:
6 .psd templates

Each Record-Keeping Template is a layered .psd file consisting of a background mat, mat border, photo mat, photo border, photo top border and a customized fully justified text path. To use custom text, just click the text layer in the layers palette, highlight the text, change to your favorite font and type away.

All files are .psd format and are saved in 300 dpi. These are okay for Scrap 4 Hire and Others use. If you want to use it for Commercial Purpose, please contact me.

New - Lost in thoughts!!

Hello everyone!! Happy Friday!!

Finally, after moving into our new apartment and settling down, I have a new release for you. If you have kids who get lost in thoughts, I bring to you Lost In Thoughts.

Do you have pictures of your little or loved ones lost in thoughts or somewhere else? This is a perfect kit to scrap those cute pictures of your little ones staring or just daydreaming. I have quite a few pictures of my son just sitting and daydreaming. He is just like his uncle {my brother}, who used to do the same thing or should I say my son has many qualities like his uncle. I needed a kit to scrap those cute pictures and that is what inspired me to create this beauty. There are lots of fun elements and tons of themed doodles making this kit unique.

Jan 4 - Jan 9 th, 2011 Pictures!

Hey Everyone,

Here are the pictures from Day 4 to Day 9th. I did take the pictures, but with taking care of friend's 2 month old baby and doing housework {which is usual} I didnt find time to upload them. Here they are.

Day 4

Here in the new apartment complex, they have a DVD library in the leasing office. Here is Harish returning from the leasing office after picking up his favorite Thomas Train's DVD to watch.

Day 5

Today, I made Mint-Coriander chutney, brown rice and carrot and mung beans side dish. It was so yummy.

Day 6

Harish is writing numbers here. He knows to count to 100 but learning to write them as well. Today it was from 11 to 20.

Day 7

Today's picture is about dinner. We love pancakes for dinner and this pancake mix from Costco makes it so much more healthier that Prem doesn't mind if we eat it 7 days a week either. Harish is anxiously waiting for the pancake to be cooked so he can eat it.

Day 8

We bought these sunglasses for Harish during summer, but he didnt wear them at all. Now since we are unpacking and he found these he wore these the whole day well almost till evening, then I had to force him to remove becos he was bumping into wall lol.

Day 9

Harish found this small head umbrella and wore it. He came to me to show it and asked me to take picture of him with it. When I was clicking, he made these goofy and silly face.

I would have missed today, but luckily did not.

Harish got up around 7 am today and then wanted to unpack some stuff. He brushed and had his breakfast and was repeating "come on daddy, lets unpack" again and again. So, finally Prem decided to do what Harish wanted to do though Prem was doing unpacking stuff too.. but that was his computer stuff. They unpacked some big boxes and Prem were folding the boxes flat when Harish went to help and I captured that. So, here is today pic.

I am very busy packing as we are moving tomm to a new apt! eeeeeeeeekkk!! Got tons of packing to do.. ugh will I ever get it done??

But, I wanted to wish all my fabulous fans, wonderful blog readers, and the amazing customers who have supported me and my designs for the past year A Very Merry Christmas!!!

I will be without internet for next 3-4 days. Hopefully, we get it soon as I will be lost without internet. How can one live without his/her daily fix of surfing the forums, galleries, and chatting with friends. I dont want to get sucked in fully by the unpacking boxes {a whole another story btw} lol.

Update on me!

Hello everyone!!

Wondering what happened to me and my designs? Well, this post is about that.

Where to start? hmm abt 2 weeks ago on Wed Nov 4th, Harish was sitting on me before bedtime, I was on the couch. Prem came to lift him when Harish stood on me and started to jump. I put my hand out fearing he would fall right when he jumped my right wrist and my wrist was bent. At first, I thought it was just a sprain due to getting bent and let it go for 2 days and it was DSD and Tish's tragedy happened so i was focused on that.

On Saturday, the pain started to radiate to my elbow and there was a small bulge near the wrist which I thought was swelling and slowly to my shoulder by Sunday. I couldn't even do the smallest work around home like lifting anything with my right hand. So on Monday, I called the doctor's office and they gave me appointment on Wednesday morning. I went in and the doctor looked and said the bulge was just a fluid collection called ganglion and my problem could be just sprain and the pain should be because of the shock that occurred during my son jumping on me, but asked to take an x-ray just to rule out any minor fracture. I asked if I could take any pain meds for the pain and he said "no no no, no pain meds"

I got the x-ray done on Wednesday afternoon and still waiting for the reports. I called the doctor's office to see if they got the report, they said it will come in this week. My arm is so bad that I haven't cooked anything healthy in almost 10 days, just some rice with lentils and frozen veggies {Prem doesn't like frozen as he likes fresh ones always}. Poor Harish and Prem, they have to eat these ones. Prem even does the dishes {the least amount of dishes that is as i am not cooking anything elaborate, which is good for him}, laundry and cleaning too.

I just hope the doctor's office would call and say what it is so that I can take precautionary measures and get on with my life. I am unable to type, cook, even take bath properly till now. So, that is my story right now.

Please pray for me that it isn't something bad and I get better soon. Thank you!!

Tiffany received a photo of Tish’s house as it is now and I wanted to share that with all of you. It is really heart-breaking to see this, but it is important that everyone understand the extent of the damage so everyone understands how badly Tish and her family need our help.

""This used to be her living room. As you can see her computer actually melted to the desk. Beyond the desk was her son Issac’s room. Looking at this devastation I am even more thankful that they left for their vacation early and were not home for this tragedy.

Very sad :((

I am so sad for my friend Tish, who is such a fantastic woman and a great friend in need and the tragedy that happened to her is unbelievable.

Around 1 AM this morning Leticia of Pixiemama Designs house was burned down. Her entire house and all of her stuff. Luckily, she and her just turned 4-yr-old son and husband were visiting family while their house burned to the ground. It is believed that this was caused by a problem with the furnace. I did speak with Tish this morning and I love her positive attitude and how grateful she was that they were visiting her family and were not in their house when this happened. The fire chief said it only took 30 minutes from the time the fire started to the time the house was destroyed. If Tish, her son, and her husband had been home, they likely would not have made it out of the home. I am so so so glad that they are okay. But, the sad part, they lost their dog. Their cats ran away, but the dog didnt. Tish recently lost her cat to a rare disease was really heart-broken.

Prior to all of this she had set up a charity kit to raise money for the SPCA. Tish aka Leticia is such a wonderful woman, who has always been there for me when i needed her. I have only know her for the past 1.5 years, but she has become one of my closest online friends.

We at Scrappity-Doo-Dah are planning to do a collab where all the proceeds will go to Tish and her family to help them replace some of what they have lost. I have decided that I am going to donate all my DSD sale to Tish and her family.

I recently started doodling.. well I always do it in papers, but recently found my new love for doodles in my kits. If you have bought any of my recent kits you would have seen that I have included a lot of doodles. So, I decided to make couple of packs of doodles.

Happy Friday everyone!!

I am so happy and glad that Friday is here for 2 reasons! First my amazing collab is releasing today. Secondly, that means tomm is Saturday and we get to go to Six Flags!! YAY!! Well, if it doesn't rain!!

Hey Everyone!!

I have a new kit, alpha pack, gradient papers and polka dot papers in store. Also, I have put them in a bundle for you to save more!!

I would love to go in depth and tell you how this kit came into making and show all the gorgeous layouts my team made.. but I have to do a doc appt as my son suddenly fell sick with high fevers. Sorry!!

Memories kit was created in the loving memory of my Mother-in-law who recently passed away. I was having all these wonderful memories of her talking to over the phone as I only got to spend a little time with her personally. So, I thought it would be great to make a kit to scrap and preserve all those wonderful memories of her that I have and even for my husband and family. That inspired me to create this kit and I couldn't just stop with the kit. I had to create extra gradient and polka dot papers and 3 alpha. I think my mother-in-law's spirit was guiding me through when I created this kit.

New stufffs in store!!

Hey everyone!!

It has been a very busy week here in my household. DH is working overtime as are his colleagues due to issues. He came home at 10 pm yday. DS is having cold and fever due to this crazy weather change that is going on. I can't believe it is so hot at this time of the year. It is fall for god's sake. Well, I am sick too, had to get it eventually as DS sleeps with his face towards when he is sick. Okay enough of my personal life.

Now onto the new stuffs that I have in store. I am so happy to be designing again after almost 3 months. My last release was in June, ohh wow! I don't have any kit per se, but I do have something else to show you.

First up is Everyday Frames. If you are anything like me, then you must love frames. I sometimes find it hard to scrap with the frames in the kit or without any frames. So I have made a pack of 9 frames in different sizes and shapes to suit all your needs. The preview shows only the textured ones, but I have included 9 frame templates as well to make it easy for you to make it your own by just clipping them on to your favorite paper.

Inspiration Monday!

I am so sorry for not blogging for so long ladies. We had to make an emergency trip to India as my mother-in-law was sick. we reached and she passed away the next day. We stayed for a month and did all our ceremonies. We returned back in first week of September. Then this jet lag hit us. This was the worst jet lag I have ever experienced. Then I got my laptop back last week and I am catching up with my store commitments. You would have know this if you "like" facebook page. Yday finally finished a element pack which will be in store later tonight or tomm morning.

Now, it just hit me that I need to do something to keep blogging. So, here comes the Inspiration Monday. That is, inspiration from layouts done using my products either by my CT or SDD CT. There are tons of them in my SDD gallery so will show few of them every Monday. Recently, Tiffany (Inspiredbydominic Designs) held a CT call (we share a CT team). We added quite a few amazing girls to our team. So, today I am going to show you layouts made by them.

I am here with a new challenge for this week --> Blending Challenge.

Yes, you read it right!! Computer woes!! So, my laptop crashed on Monday and wouldn't restart. We tried lots of different ways, but still wont. DH has given it to the tech guys at his work. They said it might take time to investigate. Now, I just have to wait and hope they can fix it. But, I was lucky to have backed up all my files on Sunday night. Also, lucky to have put a new kit in the store on Sunday.

Update on SDD!!

Hello everyone,

I just wanted make sure you all know what is happening with Scrappity-D00-Dah right now.

I just wanted to tell you all and my wonderful customers, that Scrappity-Doo-Dah is down yet again. Yvonne and Tam, the owners/administrators are doing everything in their ability to get SDD back up and running. The webhost found a possible security breech and had to shut down the servers to find if there was a problem and also to fix it. Many scrapping stores are down as well as they work to fix this problem.

We have no word on when Scrappity-Doo-Dah will be back up and running.

I assure you all that if you had a coupon or an item that you purchased before the site went down and you did not get your items or your coupon expired, I will honor those items as long as they were valid as of May 10. (Meaning if the expiration was May 9 or before, they were no longer valid and can not be honored.) Also I will try the everything in my power to get you download links as long as they are available.

I thank you all for patience and understanding in this difficult situation with our host.

This was first made a Speed scrap participation gift mini kit. I converted that into a full kit and I am so happy with the way it turned out. Check it out.
